Artists Kain White and R.I. Sutton are currently working on the latest Harebrained project: an accordion book featuring poetry and letter excerpts from the English poet, artist and visionary, William Blake. In this homage to his cosmology—his understanding of the universe—White is responding to Blake’s words with his own unique interpretation. Sutton is hand setting, printing and binding the work into a new Harebrained limited edition.
While they will be drawing on Blake’s aesthetics in some of the design elements—his colour palette, typography, and strong use of line—the book is intended not as an imitation, but as a conversation with Blake’s words and a celebration of his vision.
