Artisan Journals
These artisan journals are hand crafted in the authentic ‘flexible’ binding that was used for books up until the end of the eighteenth century. Flexible binding is a method in which each page section is attached to the next by means of a thread sewn around perpendicular chords, lending the binding superior strength and flexibility. These chords also form the raised bands on the spine which are characteristic of a fine binding. With board- and end-papers marbled in-house to a custom design, each journal is a unique art object, perfect for that special gift or for penning your personal reflections.

- Flexible opening for comfortable use
- Australian, responsibly-sourced leather, processed under rigorous environmental standards
- 100 gsm (text weight) Kingdom paper, manufactured by Arjowiggins Creative Papers (UK)
- A cream-coloured paper surface in either wove (smooth), or laid (a slightly raised grid texture, in lieu of lines). Both surfaces are suitable for all dry mediums or for ballpoint, felt-tip or fountain pens.
