Art Prints

In 2016 R.I.Sutton set out to produce her 136-page short story collection, Closer than Breathing, Seven Tales, using only traditional bookmaking techniques. She was supported in this endeavour by her partner, artist Kain White. White engraved the images for each of the book's story title pages, as well as the cover image itself. These remarkable engravings are now on offer as limited-edition prints.

Each image is:

• Printed on 160 gsm Pescia Editions Magnani 100% Cotton Paper by hand using a Western Proof Press
• Sheet is 10 X 13 inches and image is approximately 4 X 6 inches (sold unframed)
• Image is printed in an edition of up to 10
• All printed from blocks engraved by Kain White using Resingrave (with the exception of Thoracic Cavity  which is printed using an endgrain maple block)
• 4 images in the edition are hand-coloured in watercolour
• Signed and numbered by the artist
• All prints are for sale in Australian dollars

This letterpress design is a homage to the language of love. It features the word 'love' as it appears in 39 different languages across the world. The print itself, limited to an edition of 25, is taken from type that has been handset by R.I. Sutton and is printed on 160 gsm Pescia Editions Magnani 100% Cotton Paper using a Western Proof Press. Each sheet is 10 X 13 inches and the image is approximately 6 X 8 inches (sold unframed). Individual prints are hand numbered, signed, and include a translation key.
